Snorkel UK COVID-19 Commitment to Safety

Dear Valued Customer,

The safety and well-being of our customers, employees, and families is the top priority for all of us at Snorkel.  In the current environment, we feel it is important to monitor the rapidly evolving situation involving coronavirus (COVID-19) and provide updates as this situation develops.

Immediate Changes to Operations

As you will be aware, the Government implemented a rigid ‘stay at home’ policy to all citizens, effective Tuesday, March 24th, in response to the COVID-19 virus. This affects all businesses, except those providing food, medical supplies and life-sustaining services including Snorkel UK.

In compliance and to ensure the safety and well-being of our workforce, customers, suppliers and community, we have taken the responsible decision to temporarily suspend all production operations at our Vigo Centre facility, with immediate effect.

We will continue to closely monitor the latest guidance from the UK Government and World Health Organisation, and have provisionally scheduled a return to full production by 11th May 2020. This remains subject to change, and we will provide further updates in due course.

We have restricted meetings and gatherings to a limited number in large areas, and when possible, to attend meetings by telephone or video conferencing.

Despite these regional restrictions, we remain committed to fully supporting our customers throughout this period. Our customer service, spare parts, technical support, and administrative functions will continue to be available via your existing contacts, by telephone or e-mail. Our field-based sales representatives are unaffected by these changes, and remain contactable for any inquiries.

During this period, Snorkel UK will be processing limited spare parts orders from the UK facility, with priority given to urgent ‘vehicle off road’ situations. However, we will utilize our parts stocks held across our global business locations to maintain spare parts availability.
